My client has an immediate contract opportunity for an NVH Engineer based in Bedfordshire.

Main Responsibilities and Tasks of The Noise and Vibration Planning and Development Engineer;

Proven ability in concern resolution and NVH investigation work

Able and willing to work speedily and responsively to changing demands

Customer focussed, able to lead, support and motivate to achieve goals

Strong communication and interpersonal skills for liaison/negotiation at all levels both internally and with external organisations

Ability to plan and manage own workload and that of support technician



Skills and Requirements of the Noise and Vibration Development Engineer role:

Objective and subjective NVH evaluation of the clients products and competitor vehicles, on public highway, test track and in semi anechoic chassis dynamometer room.

Verification of NVH performance against agreed programme targets, with formal input to the target setting process.

Investigation of NVH concerns and development of practical countermeasures in close collaboration with design groups.

Experienced in use of noise and vibration test instrumentation (Muller BBM) for data collection and analysis.

Report writing and preparation of various internal documentation to support project progress monitoring procedures.

Planning of NVH performance attributes at early development stages of a programme



Background and Experience;

Experience in Noise and Vibration engineering and Sound Quality

At least 3 years practical experience in automotive Noise and Vibration design & development

Full UK driving licence



Education:


Ideally qualified to degree level or equivalent in an engineering discipline
